Stretching from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie, covering 450 km2 and 3 municipalities, the Niagara Region Wind Farm is among the largest projects in North America. Borea performed the engineering, procurement, and construction of this project throughout the winter and the spring thaw of 2015/2016.
The project boasts 77 of the most complex Enercon prototype towers in the industry. These towers were installed to the tallest wind turbine tower height in the continent of North America at 124 m and sit atop a single continuous pour of 1000 m3 concrete.
